PRADA preview

A few days ago WWD released a preview of Prada A/W 2008 campaign with Linda shot by Steven Meisel (cf. Current projects section). It was exciting to see all the rumors and expectations finally translated into a picture, but the latter was unfortunately in a post stamp format... So we both thought with Shana, that it would be great to see a larger version to be able to assess it.
Last Thursday, as I was making my way in a French department store among a crazy crowd looking for the best summer sales bargain, suddenly I stopped : Linda was looking at the shoppers from a billboard at the Prada store. Oh, this time it was definitely large enough. After seeing it, I almost wanted to stand in line to get a Prada bag, I just remembered that even in sales, it might still be too expensive for me .

I guess the billboard picture below might not be the best quality to allow you to make your opinion on this campaign. The advert is not that photoshoped as it appears on the picture I've taken (you can see skin texture, but no wrinkles). Hopefully, the ad will be published in mags soon!

L'Oreal Update #3 or spot the difference

Today's L'Oreal Paris update is of a slightly obsessional nature. It aims at showing all the different versions of the Demaq'Expert ad. So you have an Italian version where Linda's wearing a different make-up, a German version where Linda still has her both face halves made-up (I assume it's before using Demaq'Expert...) and a French version with a white background. We also found a different version of the Double Extension mascara ad.

Linda speaks French

A short update on the L'Oréal front. In brief but sweat interview for French mag Madame Figaro, Linda speaks about her make-up debuts at... 8. For the first time she reveals the name of the perfume she is currently fond of. As long as I remember, she often eluded this question. She also mentions that one of her favorite L'Oréal products is the Parfait Accord powder.. a product we still have to see the advert. Guess it will be released soon.

VI XXVII

This enigmatic news title has no relationship with Da Vinci Code.. no, no. It just means that this month Linda Evangelista appears on the cover of Vogue Italia for the 27th time. Twenty seventh. Yep, just XXVIIth. Only that.

For this issue, Linda is the Duchess. With effortless elegance and serenity, she wanders in a setting borrowed to the 50's, in Lisa Fonssagrives' style, plus a subtile touch of humour.
