This is old news now (I'm a bit late with the update...). But hey, Linda Evangelista appears on August Vogue Italia cover ... just after gracing the July's one !

This month, things take a dramatic turn. The cover picture bares an Austere Vision headline and the editorial tells a funeral procession story. Some people see in it a tribute to Yves Saint Laurent. But I'm confused about its interpretation : should all the mourning be taken straightforward and related to something particular ? After all, the theme of this issue was "A cinematographic mood" so Steven Meisel might just have borrowed Brian de Palma's clothes for one day... hmm.

Summer update #1

As I'm on vacation this week, I've decided to take some time to scan a few things from my collection. First of all, as it's summer (well, in the Northern hemisphere), we need something entertaining So here is Linda Evangelista reporting on the backstage chaos of the S/S 1995 collections for Harper's Bazaar.

A new ad from L'Oreal Paris

Since Linda is one of L'Oreal Paris spokespersons, I've been wondering why she has never advertised their skincare line. I thought that maybe their idea was to use Linda's fashion icon appeal and thus relate her only to make-up and hair dying products. Or maybe it was incompatible with her recent declaration on one of the ways she uses to look younger ?
Well, it was just a question of time... Linda is now promoting L'Oreal's new skincare "Collagen Replumper". Her hair appears darker than in the previous L'Oreal ads. I've got the feeling they made a whole series of new pictures that will be rolled out progressively over the coming year and I like the cold shades of this new one !

Long time awaited Vanity Fair September 2008

Finally the long time rumoured and the most high profile supermodel comeback feature has been published. American Vanity Fair dated 09/2008 carries an article that pays tribute to the "League of their own" : the models who ruled the (fashion) world in the early 90's : Cindy, Claudia, Stephanie, Naomi, Christy and of course, La Linda.

Unfortunately, the thing comes slightly beheaded as the cover has been given to another lady for other reasons. Being a former supermodel as well, she must be currently rolling on the floor laughing... or maybe she is just busy with other issues.
