AMICA August 2008

This summer 2008, it's hard to find a magazine that hasn't run a triumphant article on the current supermodel resurrection. Discussing all kind of theories explaining why 10 years later the supers are back in fashion, they also often publish "then" and "now" pictures.

Yesterday, I found the BESTcontribution to this trend in German magazine AMICA. Indeed, to illustrate its article the magazine chose to run exclusively pictures of Linda and even featured her on the cover! Well, I also found the worst contributor : this month's French Marie Claire. They haven't even mentioned Linda in their article on the same theme!

PRADA campaign for REAL

With first ads starting appearing in different August publications, Linda Evangelista's season as face of PRADA is officially open ... and so is our PRADA's ads hunt. This first one comes from Vogue UK August 2008. We'll be tracking them down in all the coming August mags so don't forget to check for updates !

PRADA preview

A few days ago WWD released a preview of Prada A/W 2008 campaign with Linda shot by Steven Meisel (cf. Current projects section). It was exciting to see all the rumors and expectations finally translated into a picture, but the latter was unfortunately in a post stamp format... So we both thought with Shana, that it would be great to see a larger version to be able to assess it.
Last Thursday, as I was making my way in a French department store among a crazy crowd looking for the best summer sales bargain, suddenly I stopped : Linda was looking at the shoppers from a billboard at the Prada store. Oh, this time it was definitely large enough. After seeing it, I almost wanted to stand in line to get a Prada bag, I just remembered that even in sales, it might still be too expensive for me .

I guess the billboard picture below might not be the best quality to allow you to make your opinion on this campaign. The advert is not that photoshoped as it appears on the picture I've taken (you can see skin texture, but no wrinkles). Hopefully, the ad will be published in mags soon!
