Linda Makes the Pre-Oscar Party Rounds

Tinseltown has been stirring at a frantic pace lately as preparations are in place for Sunday evening's 80th Annual Academy Awards ceremony in Hollywood. Linda, no less, has been hitting the scene with Peter Morton at pre-Oscar parties, including Nicolas Berggruen's bash at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. The day before Berggruen's party, Linda was also caught on film in Beverly Hills on her way to the spa. And last night, according to Page Six, Linda was also present at a luncheon at film producer Robert Evans' Beverly Hills estate in honor of Van Cleef & Arpels and Oliver Peoples. Needless to say, Linda is having a busy week!

Both Women's Wear Daily and Page Six are reporting that Linda threw a dinner party for Silvia Fendi and company at her home last Wednesday evening following the grand-reopening of the newly designed Fendi boutique in Beverly Hills. Unfortunately, we don't have any photos.

MTV and Spoiled Pretty are reporting on superstar singer Rihanna's new hairstyle, which has been the talk of hair salons and internet blogs lately as she debuted her new hairdo in late January.

Interestingly enough, it was Allure magazine's creative director, Paul Cavaco, who convinced Rihanna to cut her hair into the current pixie-style after showing her pictures of Linda.

Lost Treasure Rediscovered on YouTube

We don't make it a habit of posting all of Linda's YouTube videos here but this one was unusual enough to make the exception! It's a bit quirky and I'm sure some might even consider it a little bit sexist. Special thanks to Tito for pointing out this Mennen Aftershave commercial (yes, you're reading this correctly) that was recently uploaded to YouTube by a member who goes by "Artemisnip". If I were to guess correctly from the look of Linda's hairstyle and brows in the commercial, I'd say this was shot in 1993. I'll let Ekat or another Linda expert confirm this... smile
