You might have seen a small version of these portraits in a 1992 issue of American Vogue. With this diptych published in Karl Lagerfeld's book "Parcours de travail", they gets almost a spiritual proportion. Expressionist painter Andrej von Jawlensky is Karl Lagerfeld's inspiration and the technique, that looks like a polaroïd transfer, is perfect to go from vision to flesh. Make-up is by Stéphane Marais.
I have promised to scan something more original... so here are pictures from Chloe press file from Autumn/Winter 1994. At that time, Karl Lagerfeld was this brand designer and Chloé press files were set of argentic pictures distributed during fashion shows for collection preview... Being under contract with Chloé for several seasons, Linda posed for several of them.
There will be other updates in August and we also hope first glimpses of Talbots very soon, so don't forget to check Levangelista.net!
